If you got your Corvette as a used car. You may or may not know all these hidden things about your C6 Corvette.

Here are a few things that I’ve learn since owning the C6 Corvette

To check the mileage on the Vette off turn the head lights on the mileage will show.
Press gas petal to floor which shuts down injectors and hit start button engine will crank but not start, use this method to lube the engine after an oil change.
The C6 manual door release is on the floor by door sills.
Both the speedo and the HUD will show your speed when you put it on reverses.
Underhood-lamp and locking center console not available for 2007, 2008 and 2009.
There is a hidden button that you can open the hatch from the back.
There are two gas tanks. One on each side. Each tank holds about 9 gallons of gas.
The HUD (Head Up Display ) only recall the MAX G Force during current cycle. There is no memory recall for this.
The Corvette C6 wil chime as reminder if the turn signal is left for more than 3/4 miles.
C6 head lights will come on if windshield wiper is activated.
A gentle bump to the turn signal will make it tick 3 times.
There is a hidden keyhole above the license plate to open the hatch if you don’t have your C6 fob.
The DIC chime has only two settings. Loud and Louder. But the volume can be reduce significantly by turning down the ” Auto Volume ”
Corvette’s battery will need attention if left unattended for more than 3 weeks at a time.
Corvette Factory light switches are ON when the button is depressed position, and OFF when the button is ” Out”. Reading lights on the rearview mirror that are controlled by the buttons on either side of the rearview mirror which works in reverse.
Holding down the ignition button for about 20 seconds activates the ignition model which allows you to program the DIC and run all accessories etc without starting the engine.
The 2007 Corvette is the only year that has a handle to pull the hatch down was on the C6.
C6 windshield wiper has speed sensitive intermittent delay, but no rain sensor.
Oo the left of the steering wheel/column controls the level of the instrument lighting, but also turns the interior lights ON/OFF.
The C6 will not up shift when either TC or AHS are active
To reset the Outside Temperature Display by holding the Fan Speed button and the Windshield Defrost button and the Rear Window Defogger button at the same time.
Mirror dimming is turned off when you are in reverse.
If you reset the timer you have to wait 10 seconds before you move the display to another resettable value, otherwise that one will reset too.
If you touch the time of day in the top right corner of the navigation screen, the day of the week and date will be displayed.
The compass can be calibrated and proper zone selected by pressing either the far left button on the on-star panel or by pressing the left map button until the option for either calibration or zone appear.
You should set the cold tire inflation to 38 PSI the maximum shown on the tire sidewall.If you have heavy right foot, and drive your C6 at speeds of 175 MPH or greater.
